Something
About the Women is a weekly women's music radio program featuring
music by women artists across a variety of musical genres.
We're dedicated to playing music by women who don't get a
lot of exposure on commercial radio. Broadcasting from Tufts
University on WMFO 91.5 FM in Medford, MA, the show airs Saturdays
from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. During the broadcast,
you can listen online from the WMFO
web site. If you miss a show, you can listen to past broadcasts
in the Archives.
Collectively run since 1975, Something About the Women may
just be the longest running women's radio show in the United
States... maybe even the world!

Jill
Sobule Rocks Out with SATW DJs!
On
September 20, 2007, Jill Sobule played an acoustic show at
The
Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA. Something About the Women
DJs Jane and Sue were in attendance, in the front row, to
be exact! The club is tiny and the ambience very intimate,
and Jill wasted no time getting cozy with the crowd. Toward
the end of the show, she invited fans to help her sing her
song "Bitter," so Jane and Sue took the stage. Photographic
evidence is on the right! (Thats' Sue on the far left, with
Jane next to her.) Be sure to check out Jill Sobule's web
site at www.jillsobule.com
for more about this great artist, including free downloads!
